# Swarm II vs AI Race Engineer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AI Race Engineer at 100% against Swarm II's 41%. AI Race Engineer also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks). Swarm II's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ratings volume (15K vs 13). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Race Engineer sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Swarm II asks for nothing beyond the download.

Swarm II holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swarm II has 15K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Swarm II's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Race Engineer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Swarm II ships an update every 6 weeks, AI Race Engineer every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
