# UltraNotes vs CoHub

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CoHub at none against UltraNotes's 1. CoHub also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). UltraNotes's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (190 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UltraNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. CoHub asks for nothing beyond the download.

CoHub holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UltraNotes has 190 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of UltraNotes's written reviews are positive against 100% of CoHub's.

UltraNotes ships an update every 3 weeks, CoHub every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
