# UltraNotes vs Scan PDF－Convert Document

The clearest difference is monetization model: UltraNotes at free with in-app purchases against Scan PDF－Convert Document's subscription. On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UltraNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Scan PDF－Convert Document sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scan PDF－Convert Document holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 187 and 133 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of UltraNotes's written reviews are positive against 76% of Scan PDF－Convert Document's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UltraNotes ships an update every 3 weeks, Scan PDF－Convert Document every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
