# FormatX vs ThankQ

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ThankQ at none against FormatX's 3. ThankQ also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). FormatX's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FormatX sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per 7 days. ThankQ asks for nothing beyond the download.

ThankQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FormatX has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FormatX ships an update every 2 months, ThankQ every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
