# byAir vs Flight Tracker

byAir and Flight Tracker both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 91% of Flight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 73% of byAir's. byAir's advantage is ratings volume (216 vs 15). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. byAir sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Flight Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for byAir against 5.0 for Flight Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: byAir has 216 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of byAir's written reviews are positive against 91% of Flight Tracker's.

byAir ships an update every 6 days, Flight Tracker every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
