# byAir vs Flight Notifications

byAir and Flight Notifications both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Flight Notifications's written reviews are positive against 73% of byAir's. Flight Notifications also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). byAir's advantage is ratings volume (222 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. byAir sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Flight Notifications sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for byAir against 5.0 for Flight Notifications. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: byAir has 222 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of byAir's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flight Notifications's.

byAir ships an update every 6 days, Flight Notifications every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
