# UCMD vs StepwiseMD

The clearest difference is update cadence: StepwiseMD at every 10 days against UCMD's every 2 months. UCMD's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UCMD ships an update every 2 months, StepwiseMD every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
