# DNS Changer vs ADFastDNS

The clearest difference is rating: DNS Changer at 4.6 against ADFastDNS's 4.3. DNS Changer also leads on ratings volume (178 vs 6). ADFastDNS's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DNS Changer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and ADFastDNS sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DNS Changer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DNS Changer has 178 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of DNS Changer's written reviews are positive against 100% of ADFastDNS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DNS Changer ships an update every 3 weeks, ADFastDNS weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
