# Dnd Character Journal vs DunMax

The clearest difference is rating: Dnd Character Journal at 4.8 against DunMax's 4.2. Dnd Character Journal also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). DunMax's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 60%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dnd Character Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DunMax sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dnd Character Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Dnd Character Journal's written reviews are positive against 80% of DunMax's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dnd Character Journal ships an update every 3 months, DunMax every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
