# Dnd Character Journal vs DeckForge

Dnd Character Journal and DeckForge both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of DeckForge's written reviews are positive against 60% of Dnd Character Journal's. DeckForge also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). Dnd Character Journal's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dnd Character Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DeckForge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DeckForge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dnd Character Journal has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
