# Border League vs Fantera

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Border League at none against Fantera's 3. Border League also leads on ratings volume (66 vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.1). Fantera's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantera sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Border League asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Border League against 5.0 for Fantera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Border League has 66 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Border League ships an update every 6 months, Fantera every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
