# Hunter Evolution vs Battle Alchemist

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hunter Evolution at 60% against Battle Alchemist's 8%. Battle Alchemist's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hunter Evolution sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Battle Alchemist sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Battle Alchemist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 49 and 67 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Hunter Evolution's written reviews are positive against 8% of Battle Alchemist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hunter Evolution ships an update every 3 weeks, Battle Alchemist fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
