# HiScreenCast vs MEDIACEL

The clearest difference is update cadence: MEDIACEL at every 2 days against HiScreenCast's every 4 months. HiScreenCast's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HiScreenCast ships an update every 4 months, MEDIACEL every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
