# Currency Converter vs GhostCatch

The clearest difference is ads: GhostCatch at none against Currency Converter's shown. GhostCatch also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). Currency Converter's advantage is ratings volume (76 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Currency Converter sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and GhostCatch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Currency Converter against 5.0 for GhostCatch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Currency Converter has 76 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of Currency Converter's written reviews are positive against 100% of GhostCatch's.

Currency Converter ships an update every 3 months, GhostCatch monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
