# Pulse vs Evi

The clearest difference is rating: Evi at 4.5 against Pulse's 2.0. Evi also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). Pulse's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 61%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Evi holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evi has 46 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Pulse's written reviews are positive against 61% of Evi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pulse ships an update every 3 weeks, Evi every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and August 30, 2026 respectively.
