# FivePointFive vs RunBuddy

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FivePointFive at 5.1K against RunBuddy's 1. FivePointFive also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and chart position (#110 vs unranked). RunBuddy's advantage is iOS requirement (13.4 vs 18.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FivePointFive sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per 3 months and RunBuddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RunBuddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FivePointFive has 5.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FivePointFive ships an update every 4 days, RunBuddy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
