# FivePointFive vs HYDROX

FivePointFive and HYDROX both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of HYDROX's written reviews are positive against 58% of FivePointFive's. FivePointFive's advantage is ratings volume (5.1K vs 4) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FivePointFive sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per 3 months and HYDROX sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HYDROX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FivePointFive has 5.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of FivePointFive's written reviews are positive against 100% of HYDROX's.

FivePointFive ships an update every 4 days, HYDROX weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
