# FivePointFive vs AbleGrid

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AbleGrid at none against FivePointFive's 5. AbleGrid also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (9 vs 18.6). FivePointFive's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FivePointFive sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per 3 months. AbleGrid asks for nothing beyond the download.

AbleGrid holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FivePointFive has 5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FivePointFive ships an update every 5 days, AbleGrid fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
