# Letter Box vs Stackdown

The clearest difference is ads: Letter Box at none against Stackdown's shown. Letter Box also leads on ratings volume (3.4K vs 31). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Letter Box sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stackdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Letter Box against 4.9 for Stackdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Letter Box has 3.4K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two.
