# BriefBuddy vs Hypermonkey

The clearest difference is rating: BriefBuddy at 5.0 against Hypermonkey's 4.5. BriefBuddy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and device support (3 vs 1). Hypermonkey's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BriefBuddy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Hypermonkey sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BriefBuddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hypermonkey has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of BriefBuddy's written reviews are positive against 75% of Hypermonkey's.

BriefBuddy ships an update weekly, Hypermonkey every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
