# Medulla Mentor vs Benedictus

The clearest difference is rating: Medulla Mentor at 5.0 against Benedictus's 2.5. Medulla Mentor also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Benedictus's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Medulla Mentor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Benedictus has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Medulla Mentor ships an update every 8 months, Benedictus every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
