# AI Chat vs SessionKit

The clearest difference is ads: SessionKit at none against AI Chat's shown. AI Chat's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and SessionKit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Chat ships an update monthly, SessionKit every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
