# ThriveShift vs Umbra

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ThriveShift at 100% against Umbra's 0%. ThriveShift also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThriveShift sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Umbra sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ThriveShift holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThriveShift has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of ThriveShift's written reviews are positive against 0% of Umbra's.

ThriveShift ships an update every 4 days, Umbra every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
