# Certimy vs X BlackGate

The clearest difference is update cadence: X BlackGate at every 3 weeks against Certimy's every 2 months. Certimy's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Certimy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per year and X BlackGate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Certimy ships an update every 2 months, X BlackGate every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
