# SeenLog vs tantan

The clearest difference is ads: tantan at none against SeenLog's shown. tantan also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and chart position (#143 vs unranked). SeenLog's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 12%). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SeenLog sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and tantan sells 31 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

tantan holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5K and 4K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of SeenLog's written reviews are positive against 12% of tantan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SeenLog ships an update every 5 weeks, tantan weekly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
