# FireApp vs Remote Control for TV Stick

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FireApp at 49% against Remote Control for TV Stick's 6%. FireApp also leads on ratings volume (419 vs 46). Remote Control for TV Stick's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FireApp sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Remote Control for TV Stick sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remote Control for TV Stick holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FireApp has 419 ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of FireApp's written reviews are positive against 6% of Remote Control for TV Stick's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FireApp ships an update every 2 months, Remote Control for TV Stick fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
