# SimpliSplit vs Fat Check Tab Splitter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fat Check Tab Splitter at weekly against SimpliSplit's fortnightly. SimpliSplit's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (15 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SimpliSplit against 5.0 for Fat Check Tab Splitter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpliSplit has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SimpliSplit ships an update fortnightly, Fat Check Tab Splitter weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
