# SimpliSplit vs Lockstry

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SimpliSplit at 14 against Lockstry's 2. SimpliSplit also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SimpliSplit against 5.0 for Lockstry. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpliSplit has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
