# R vs Notarized

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: R at none against Notarized's 1. Notarized's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notarized sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. R asks for nothing beyond the download.

R ships an update every 2 months, Notarized every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
