# Sugar vs Curations

The clearest difference is rating: Curations at 5.0 against Sugar's 2.4. Curations also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Sugar's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Curations holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sugar has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sugar ships an update every 2 days, Curations every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
