# ASCAP vs Notable

The clearest difference is rating: Notable at 5.0 against ASCAP's 4.6. Notable also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). ASCAP's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Notable holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASCAP has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ASCAP ships an update monthly, Notable every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
