# SpeakNScript vs Speech to Text

The clearest difference is rating: Speech to Text at 4.6 against SpeakNScript's 4.0. Speech to Text also leads on ratings volume (136 vs 1). SpeakNScript's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 73%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeakNScript sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speech to Text sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speech to Text holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speech to Text has 136 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of SpeakNScript's written reviews are positive against 73% of Speech to Text's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
