# HDiary vs SpellTime Widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: SpellTime Widget at every 2 days against HDiary's every 6 weeks. SpellTime Widget also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HDiary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and SpellTime Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HDiary ships an update every 6 weeks, SpellTime Widget every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
