# SLauncher vs Araname

The clearest difference is ads: SLauncher at none against Araname's shown. Araname's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SLauncher sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months and Araname sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SLauncher ships an update every 2 weeks, Araname every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
