# Virus Terminator vs Sherlock

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sherlock at every 3 days against Virus Terminator's every 9 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virus Terminator sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Sherlock sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Virus Terminator ships an update every 9 days, Sherlock every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
