# DLV Guide vs Pokodex

The clearest difference is rating: DLV Guide at 4.8 against Pokodex's 4.3. DLV Guide also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 60) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Pokodex's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DLV Guide sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Pokodex sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DLV Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DLV Guide has 1.4K ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of DLV Guide's written reviews are positive against 67% of Pokodex's.

DLV Guide ships an update fortnightly, Pokodex weekly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
