# The Da Vinci Cryptex 2 vs REFRAKT

The clearest difference is ads: The Da Vinci Cryptex 2 at none against REFRAKT's shown. The Da Vinci Cryptex 2 also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). REFRAKT's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Da Vinci Cryptex 2 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and REFRAKT sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Da Vinci Cryptex 2 ships an update every 2 months, REFRAKT every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
