# Local Shouty vs EpNova

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Local Shouty at none against EpNova's 10. Local Shouty also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 53%). EpNova's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#191 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EpNova sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days. Local Shouty asks for nothing beyond the download.

EpNova holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EpNova has 96 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Local Shouty's written reviews are positive against 53% of EpNova's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Local Shouty ships an update every 2 weeks, EpNova every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
