# Aimera vs MaskHer

The clearest difference is ads: MaskHer at none against Aimera's shown. MaskHer also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 2). Aimera's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aimera sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and MaskHer sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for Aimera against 3.0 for MaskHer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MaskHer has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of Aimera's written reviews are positive against 40% of MaskHer's.

Aimera ships an update every 2 weeks, MaskHer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
