# CrazyDog Speed Pro vs Tom VPN

The clearest difference is ads: CrazyDog Speed Pro at none against Tom VPN's shown. CrazyDog Speed Pro also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). Tom VPN's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 5) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CrazyDog Speed Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Tom VPN sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tom VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tom VPN has 1.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of CrazyDog Speed Pro's written reviews are positive against 83% of Tom VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
