# Freckle vs Wall Genie

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Freckle at 100% against Wall Genie's 25%. Freckle also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 4). Wall Genie's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 8 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freckle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Wall Genie sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wall Genie holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Freckle's written reviews are positive against 25% of Wall Genie's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freckle ships an update every 8 months, Wall Genie every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
