# DAYcomics vs MangaMax

The clearest difference is update cadence: DAYcomics at every 4 days against MangaMax's every 3 weeks. DAYcomics also leads on review sentiment (25% vs 13%). MangaMax's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.1) and ratings volume (47 vs 10). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DAYcomics sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and MangaMax sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $129.00 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MangaMax holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 47 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of DAYcomics's written reviews are positive against 13% of MangaMax's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DAYcomics ships an update every 4 days, MangaMax every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
