# Cellular Tower vs APRSSwift

The clearest difference is review sentiment: APRSSwift at 100% against Cellular Tower's 20%. APRSSwift also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and ads (none vs shown). Cellular Tower's advantage is ratings volume (5.3K vs 2) and chart position (#131 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cellular Tower sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and APRSSwift sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

APRSSwift holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cellular Tower has 5.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Cellular Tower's written reviews are positive against 100% of APRSSwift's.

Cellular Tower ships an update fortnightly, APRSSwift every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
