# PlotShort vs BitePlay

The clearest difference is rating: PlotShort at 3.3 against BitePlay's 1.7. PlotShort also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). BitePlay's advantage is ratings volume (154 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PlotShort sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month and BitePlay sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlotShort holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BitePlay has 154 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of PlotShort's written reviews are positive against 3% of BitePlay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PlotShort ships an update every 2 weeks, BitePlay monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
