# Simply Astro vs Timely

The clearest difference is rating: Timely at 4.8 against Simply Astro's 4.3. Timely also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly). Simply Astro's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simply Astro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Timely sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timely holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Simply Astro's written reviews are positive against 94% of Timely's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simply Astro ships an update weekly, Timely every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
