# Flute Tuner vs Flute Sim

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flute Tuner at none against Flute Sim's 2. Flute Tuner also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). Flute Sim's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flute Sim sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Flute Tuner asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flute Tuner holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flute Tuner has 915 ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Flute Tuner's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flute Sim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flute Tuner ships an update every 6 weeks, Flute Sim every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
