# BBPTA vs The Bulwark

The clearest difference is monetization model: BBPTA at free against The Bulwark's freemium. BBPTA also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). The Bulwark's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 2) and chart position (#54 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BBPTA against 4.9 for The Bulwark. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Bulwark has 2.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BBPTA ships an update every 9 days, The Bulwark every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
