# Connect vs Hive

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hive at 100% against Connect's 7%. Hive also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.3). Connect's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Connect has 40 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 7% of Connect's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hive's.

Connect ships an update every 3 weeks, Hive every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
