# Unchecked vs Hydropal

The clearest difference is rating: Hydropal at 5.0 against Unchecked's 4.4. Hydropal also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Unchecked's advantage is ratings volume (75 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unchecked sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Hydropal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hydropal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unchecked has 75 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Unchecked ships an update fortnightly, Hydropal every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
