# Langaroo+ vs Hooplo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hooplo at none against Langaroo+'s 27. Hooplo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 74%). Langaroo+'s advantage is ratings volume (285 vs 5) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Langaroo+ sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Hooplo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Langaroo+ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Langaroo+ has 285 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Langaroo+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Hooplo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Langaroo+ ships an update every 3 weeks, Hooplo weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
